Full disclosure, I am a Brock Lesnar fan, so this could come off somewhat biased, but I honestly believe Brock will run right through Overeem tomorrow night:
Overeem definitely is the most dangerous heavyweight striker in MMA, but if you study MMA history, anytime a Striker faces a grappler, the grappler almost ALWAYS wins. Overeem has a puncher's chance, and I never like picking anyone who has a puncher's chance.
I won't sit here and say Overeem is overrated, even though he really is. A lot of websites have him ranked the number 2 Heavyweight when he has beaten absolutely NO ONE. its ridiculous. People like to point to his K-1 title as if that is some kind of proof he will beat Brock. Problem is, there is a HUGE difference in K-1 striking and MMA striking. K-1, Overeem can concentrate completely on throwing the hardest, most devastating shots he can. In MMA, you can't just blindly launch that type off attack cause you leave yourself open to being taken down. Unfortunately, Overeem is facing one of the greatest wrestlers the heavyweight division has ever seen. So Overeem will either not throw as hard,or, will be taken down swiftly. It is true Brock has bad standup, and is no match on on his feet with Overeem,HOWEVER, main thing people are overlooking is, Brock looked bad against Shane Carwin and Cain Velazquez, cause those guys have something Overeem does not... Which is elite wrestling/takedown defense.
Overeem does not have the skill to stop a Brock Lesnar takedown. Overeem does not have the gas tank or the prowess on the ground to get off the bottom of Lesnar. People watch some crappy video of him applying a guillotine in Dream as evidence he can grapple which is hilarious.
Only way Brock won't win this fight, is if Overeem lands some type of big punch before Brock gets inside. Once Brock gets inside.. this fight is over.
I got Brock 2nd RD TKO via GNP with Overeem gassed and on his back.
